Singing for Love
Aleksandra Luchenko
Acrylic on canvas
30”h x 24"w
My painting "Singing for Love" was created in Austin to the sounds of cicadas. Texas inspires with its uniqueness. For me, a person who came from Europe, Texas opened up new views of the endless sky. Thunderous sunsets and cumulus clouds inspire me to create my art. The loud, ringing song of cicadas is the sensation of a scorching summer when everything stands still from the heat. Evening in scorching Texas is like a new chapter in life when the heat subsides a bit, and it's time for music, love, and conversations. And if a storm plays with its lightning on the horizon, it adds even more atmosphere. All this inspired me to create the painting "Singing for Love".
