Sloth As The Universe
Kate Fitzpatrick
11" x 14" Paper print
Sloths move so slowly that algae grows on their fur. This algae is a food source for a very specific type of moth that has evolved to exist completely on a sloth. These sloth moths hatch in sloth dung, fly to their host sloth, and live out their days eating fur algae. For these moths, the sloth is their home planet, their source of life, their place of death. The sloth is their entire universe!
Maybe we are all just moths on a sloth.
