Live Oak and Bluebonnets Mini Print
Alex Quirk
Watercolor and Gouache on Cotton handmade Nujabi paper
Wooden frame
3"h x 4"w
This piece features a field of bluebonnets and live oak trees nestled in the hill country of central Texas. “I have lived in Texas my whole life, and to me, this piece captures a traditional Texas landscape. I will always have a fondness for spring bluebonnets and shady live oak trees.”
These miniature landscapes are small-batch limited edition reproductions of original hand painted miniature gouache and watercolor landscapes on cotton-based Nujabi paper.
Each landscape was carefully and meticulously painted both En plein air and in the artists studio and reproduced at size through a local fine-art printing company
Get to Know the Austin Artist:
My designs are inspired by nature. Getting outside is good for the soul- it reminds us to slow down, stills our restlessness and turmoil and helps us reconnect with ourselves and appreciate the world around us. My goal is to bring peace and a little bit of whimsy to paper and cheer up someone in a small way. Through my artwork I try to capture some of the beauty of the natural world and share it with you!
