This painting portrays a leopard with vivid blue eyes and a spotted coat, set against a vibrant, abstract background of transparent red oxide, yellow, and blue. The textured brushstrokes create a dynamic, cosmic atmosphere, blending realism with abstraction.

Get to Know the Austin Artist:
As a second generation artist and small business owner in artsy Georgetown, I displayed the art of my family and other artists for many years at Red Poppy Coffee. I am originally from the Midwest, where my mother earned an art scholarship for her painting of the “Mona Lisa”. I am just grateful she did not name me Mona. I got to Texas as fast as I could and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a business degree. 

When I look out at nature, I just want to capture that beauty that God has created. For me photography does not do it justice. It gives me great joy to try and capture that beauty the best I can, and I hope to share that joy with some of you.
