Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Living in a youthful and transitional communal home of people of all walks of life and working in a new job in upholstery while exploring Austin and its people by bike and foot is what made way to new inspirations and new beginnings for my personal and artistic journey.
I considered my recent interest in the weave of fabrics I have been exposed to while working in upholstery. The intricate connection of yarns represents to me life complexity and bonding. I noticed a continuous diagonal zig-zag pattern in the yarns which I was interested in and I applied them to my previous acrylic works.
