Hummingbirds are one of my favorites.
They are so impressive!
Did you know hummingbirds migrate on average a distance of 1200 miles in the spring and fall?
Sometimes they fly for 20 hours a day.
They often use tailwinds to help them fly faster.
In this painting, I'm exploring all the monochromatic pinks, crimsons, and magenta tones.
I used plants and sponges to paint the background.
You can see the imprint from actual leaves used to "monoprint"
I always say, nature does it best.
