PB&J was inspired by one of my favorite sandwiches. I was eating a PB&J sandwich at an art festival and I started thinking PB: for Polar Bears and J for Jaguars. What if they were friends and had matching hats? It made me smile all day, so I had to make it.
Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Michelle's passion is creating art that sparks joy and promotes kindness, love, and inclusivity. She is inspired by nature and loves making whimsical, vibrantly colored art. She frequently uses a combination of paints, embroidery and other mixed media in her works. Michelle is a native Texan and has lived in Austin since high school. She graduated from University of Texas at Austin and worked in the tech industry for over 25 years before retiring to pursue creating art. In her spare time, she enjoys working with local nonprofits to serve the community, spending time with family, reading, and traveling.
