My husband is an avid board game player and he gets all these interesting gameboard punch out sheets. I love all the shapes and colors and follow my curiosity to create fun, playful artworks using his left over pieces and hand sewn embroidery.

Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Michelle's passion is creating art that sparks joy and promotes kindness, love, and inclusivity. She is inspired by nature and loves making whimsical, vibrantly colored art. She frequently uses a combination of paints, embroidery and other mixed media in her works. Michelle is a native Texan and has lived in Austin since high school. She graduated from University of Texas at Austin and worked in the tech industry for over 25 years before retiring to pursue creating art. In her spare time, she enjoys working with local nonprofits to serve the community, spending time with family, reading, and traveling.
