This was in a series I called, "Because... CATS," that I painted during the COVID period. Cats were always trying to "help," while working on projects as best we could during the shutdown.

Get to Know the Austin Artist:
I’ve always loved the colors and textures of impressionism and the techniques used in realism, and I feel my style falls somewhere in between. I do studio paintings from detailed photographs, taping them up all around me, editing out in my mind what I don’t want to be there. I love doing the research and being an arm-chair traveler!
Along the way I’ve raised a family, and had grandchildren. I still design books and book covers; one art career informs the other.
