Since my childhood days exploring the pastures behind my home in Texas, my love for the outdoors has never waned. Growing up surrounded by nature, I found endless inspiration for my imagination. Nature has always been my haven, providing solace and purpose in every season of my life.
Painting and drawing is a way to express my feelings without saying a word; and I really needed that growing up. I've lived through traumatic events throughout my life and art and nature became my refuge, a place to find myself again. When I need a break from the chaos, I go outside, walk, feel the air around me and be thankful for the freedom nature gives me.
Through abstract art, I found a way to share this profound connection with others. Whether painting or simply being outdoors, I'm reminded of the boundless curiosity and vivid imagination of my youth, a beautiful cycle that continues to enrich my artistic journey.
