Get to Know the Artist:
Hello, I’m Sally–an artist based in Austin. I work with ink and watercolor and am primarily self-taught. I’ve been creating since before I can remember. During the pandemic, I fell in love with painting West Texas and that’s still true today. I also enjoy painting custom portraits of people, their pets, as well as documenting my travels in pocket-sized notebooks. I absolutely love playing with size and painting on a tiny scale. A children’s book illustrator/writer hopeful, I’ve had the joy of participating in the Children’s Book Illustration Summer School intensive at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, UK and the Children’s Book Illustration summer program at RISD in Providence, RI.
