I have a deep affection for Greek mythology and folklore. As I read these tales of gods, heroes, and monsters I was inspired to create my own tales.
Get to Know the Austin Artist:
My name is Costas Constantinides and I am a traditional illustration artist from Cyprus, now based in Austin, Texas. Having grown up in Cyprus immersed in Greek culture and heritage, I have a deep affection for Greek mythology and folklore. As I read these tales of gods, heroes, and monsters I was inspired to create my own tales.
In my practice, I have worked with different mediums, such as mixed media, collage work, graphite pencils, acrylic and oil painting. Having worked in a plethora of styles and mediums, I have found my voice through pencils and ink pens.
