"Mariposa" is my contemporary take on the grace and spirit of a butterfly, brought to life entirely by hand. Deep blues, warm browns, and vibrant teals intertwine with ribbons of green, while bursts of purple and orange flowers add energy and movement. Every stitch in this piece is a reflection of my passion for fiber art—where color, texture, and craftsmanship come together to tell a story.

A devoted gardener, Kathy’s green thumb breathes life into everything she touches—whether coaxing blooms from the earth or weaving intricate quilted masterpieces. Her textile creations radiate harmony, vibrancy, and the delicate balance of the natural world.

Now calling Asheville, North Carolina, home, Kathy draws endless inspiration from nature’s shifting rhythms. As spring’s warmth stirs the earth, renewal echoes through her artistry—each stitch capturing the luminous energy of sunlit blossoms and her deep love of nature.
