The Medicine Woman is a piece celebrating the promising research into the use of psilocybin mushrooms for the treatment of PTSD and depression. The piece depicts a woman on a vibrant trip, pulling her out of the grey world she has been bound to and showing her a more connected existence to the world around her.

I am an artist who has been living and creating art in Austin for over 15 years. My work is inspired by the struggles and joys that we face every day and often features ladies and animals living their best lives. I enjoy taking a mixed-media approach to my work, often combining several different types of painting and media in a single work. I love color and form, and art has helped me channel my thoughts and feelings in a productive way that helps me get through life's hills and valleys.
