It was reproduced at original size 8.5” by 11” with a 60 print numbered series on both Hahnemuhle German paper and Accent Opaque uncoated paper. In this whimsical and quirky painting a hummingbird, ladybug, and bee enjoy a pollinators tea party. 

Printmaking Process: Each print is drawn directly onto the wood or linoleum block then the white space is carefully carved out by hand. After being carved, the block is inked with a roller, hand-pulled and placed in a lever style press with specialty paper, details are finished with a hand baren, then set out to dry. Because of this process, each print is a unique variation and unlike any other print from the same block - making each a true original.

My designs are inspired by nature. Getting outside is good for the soul- it reminds us to slow down, stills our restlessness and turmoil and helps us reconnect with ourselves and appreciate the world around us. My goal is to bring peace and a little bit of whimsy to paper and cheer up someone in a small way. Through my artwork I try to capture some of the beauty of the natural world and share it with you!
