Icon Texas brand that I grew up with because it was produced in the Rio Grande Valley where I am from. It reminds me a lot of Andy Warhol’s “Campbell Tomato Soup” painting and of course reminds us all of being proud of being a “Texan” or “Texsun”. It’s a different spelling but still the same feeling of pride.
Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Originally from the South Texas border area, I currently reside in both Austin and McAllen, Texas. I enjoy drawing and painting, but my true passion is creating modern wire-art sculptures showcasing stories with deep meaning to me. My work captures the struggles and triumphs of workers, athletes, and major historical events.
