The inspiration for this piece came from the words of my Aunt Joy and the meaning of our work on this earth. She told me that she could just see the glory balls I was leaving in the halls of my school and in my classroom, that I was touching the lives of my students and colleagues and bringing glory to God. Since I love reading, this particular piece is about the way writers touch the lives of their readers.

Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Born in the desert of Nevada, I grew up in the country. Now, I can’t live without my nature walks, and some of my favorite sounds are the songs of the birds. But I’m also an avid anime watcher and reader, and every now and then I get sucked into a video game my brother recommends. I have a wonderful and supportive husband, who binges anime with me one minute, hikes with me another, and builds wood projects with me the next, and we have two great big dogs that fill up our little house.
