Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Eli grew up in Anchorage Alaska, spending most of the summers with her family salmon fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. The constant 3 hour drive to the river was filled with whale sightings, caribou, dall sheep and mountain goats. She would get out of the car to take photos and get a closer look at these roadside beauties.
Eli uses thick oil paint and she loves to add acrylic, paper, metal leaf, spray paint, fabric, lace, ribbons, gemstones, sparkles, shells, crushed glass, beads, sand, mica, and pearls.Eli paints on wooden painting surfaces made with maple, birch and masonite in addition to hand crafted stretched canvases.
