Texas trees fascinate me. Among my favorites are the bald cypress, deciduous conifers that shed their needles in the early fall. I especially love the knees – which give the trees their unique look. How serendipitous it is that they are relatives to my California redwoods.

Gary has photographed all things beautiful throughout the United States and Western Europe. He shot his first roll of kodak tri-x pan in the Yosemite valley back in the early seventies. He loves his wife and his dog and prays to the spirits of John Muir and Ansel Adams.
