A bluebird is held captive, caged within a woman's neck as she looks on stoically. The pressure of tight quarters and a longing to be free are felt by both, as both of their potentials are stifled by their current situation.

I am an Austin artist who has been living and creating on the east side of Austin for more than a decade. My works often include figurative paintings and drawings mixed with a bit of the surreal. Women and animals in bright colors are frequent subjects of my art.
