Get to Know the Austin Artist: Janis Fowler
I am a mixed-media artist living and working on the East side of Austin, Texas. I am constantly searching for the next fun technique or new medium to try, and I experiment fearlessly with media ranging from traditional paints to found and repurposed objects not typically used as art materials. My subject matter is typically figurative, but I occasionally like to break the high concentration with moments of abstract fun and colorful spontaneity.
