The animals in this piece are puzzle piece together to create the motif. I used earth, clay and soil to create the textual background because sustainability is a focal point in my practice. A lot of my inspiration comes from Latin American art and my love for nature and animals as a child.

Get to Know the Austin Artist:
Daniel Trelenberg is a part of the Good Dad Studio Collective. He loves hiking and the outdoors. Growing up Daniel was influenced by Latin American art that was given to him by his grandmother who grew up in Colombia. This sparked his interest in art from ancient cultures. This theme is depicted in Daniel’s artwork through the representation of animals and flowers.
