I have a profound fondness and sadness for those creatures that have somehow survived the onslaught that is humanity. The bison needs no introduction and their story is that of great pain and loss, but I think its fair to say they are a success story of modern conservation. That being said, I can't help but wonder what it must have been like to see, hear, and feel the hurds that numbered in the hundreds of thousands.

Ray Allen is a Texas native who has called Dallas-Ft Worth, Austin, and San Antonio home. You can often find him in his woodshop covered in sawdust doing what he loves. He draws inspiration from his love of the outdoors, wildlife, travels, and his family. He likes to call his work art therapy.
