This painting revolves around concepts, patterns, and styles that are reminiscent of Hemingway, which include among other things, his time at the Paris Ritz, his affection for bullfighting, and of course his typewriter. I kept an extremely limited palette for this piece and was strongly influenced by mid-century art and design.
